Individual Therapy for Kings Hill & West Malling

A Private Space, Right Here

Kings Hill and West Malling have a genuine concentration of local counsellors — several practise from Churchill Square alone, alongside a handful of others across West Malling. What sets this practice apart isn’t simply being local; it’s NCPS accreditation, COSRT registration, and an integrative approach drawing on seven distinct therapeutic models, rather than a single-modality practice.

Individual therapy offers a private, one-to-one space to work through anxiety, low mood, stress, or a difficult life transition — without needing a diagnosis or GP referral first. Because the practice is genuinely based here, in-person sessions don’t mean a drive into Maidstone or further afield; online sessions remain available too, for weeks when getting out isn’t easy.

OUR APPROACH

Our Approach to Individual Therapy for Kings Hill Clients

Every person’s reasons for seeking therapy are different, and so is the right way to work through them. Our approach is integrative, drawing on:

1

Person-Centred Therapy

A non-directive approach built on empathy, unconditional positive regard, and trust in your own capacity for growth.

2

Psychodynamic Therapy

Exploring how past experiences and unconscious patterns shape present thoughts and behaviour.

3

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Identifying and shifting unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety or distress.

4

Attachment Theory

Understanding how early relationships shape how you relate to yourself and others now.

5

Transactional Analysis

Examining recurring patterns in how you interact with others.

6

Gestalt Therapy

Working with present-moment awareness and unresolved feelings.

7

Psychosexual Models

Addressing intimacy or sexual concerns directly, where relevant, rather than as separate.

Sessions are led by what you actually need: some clients want a structured, goal-oriented approach; others want an open space to think and process at their own pace — the approach adapts to you, not a fixed programme.
