FOUNDER, UNITY FOR THERAPY
COSRT-Registered Psychosexual & Relationship Psychotherapist
My Approach to Therapy
“I believe therapy works best when nothing has to be hidden or minimised first. My role is to create a genuinely confidential, non-judgemental space and to bring the right combination of approaches to what you’re actually facing, rather than fitting you into a fixed programme.”
Understanding people, how we cope, connect, and navigate life has always been my passion. Transitioning from architecture to therapy allowed me to shift my focus from physical structures to the human experience, bringing me closer to the work that truly matters to me.
My therapeutic approach is built on authentic communication and respectful, culturally sensitive care. Navigating my own relationship hurdles showed me firsthand that learning to express emotions rather than suppress them is where genuine healing begins.
Coming from an Arab and Muslim background, I bring a deep appreciation for how culture, faith, and values shape our views on intimacy. I know how sensitive psychosexual and relationship topics can be, especially given how rare open, informed education is around the world. My background helps me approach these conversations with care, using thoughtful, gentle language that meets you where you are, ensuring you feel contained, supported, and never judged.
During my practice within the NHS, I noticed time and again how many people quietly suffer with psychosexual and relational concerns. The sexual dimension of our lives is so rarely talked about. Even with those we love most, we tend to keep this part of ourselves hidden, which can leave us feeling deeply isolated.
That realisation is why I created Unity for Therapy. My hope is to raise awareness about how important it is to talk about these experiences safely, and with people we trust, and to normalise sexual and relational well-being. Whether you are an individual or a couple, I offer a grounded, non-judgmental space to explore root issues, communicate more easily, and honour your story from your own perspective.
